4th Qualifying Roundsgives good idea of opponents

With the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup now drawn, the Imps now have a rough idea of who the potential opponents will be when the draw is made on Saturday 27th at roughly 5pm. City will be aiming to make the 2nd Round for the first time in 4 years when the 1st round proper is played on the weekend beginning August 10th, and could get either Boston United or Gainsborough Trinity.

Boston cruised to a 4-1 win over Hinckley Town in the 3rd Qualifying round and are one of the many teams from the surrounding counties in the 4th Qualifying Round. They face a trip to Workington, a team they beat on the opening day of the season. Gainsborough Trinity travel to Bradford Park Avenue, hoping to secure a first round place just like they did 10 years ago when they drew City at that stage.

However, if the last few years are anything to go by then City won't face a non-league opponent. The last time we drew a non-League side was back in the 2000/1 season when we lost to Dagenham in the 2nd Round after beating Bracknell 4-0 in the first.
