Imps face tough Shrewsbury test on first day

Lincoln City face a tough test on the first day as Playoff Final losers Shrewsbury Town make the trip to Sincil Bank. It's the 2nd time in 4 years that we'll face Shrewsbury on the first day. It's the 6th year in the last 8 that we've been given a home game on the first day, hoping to secure our first win on the first day for the first time since we beat Shrewsbury back in 2004/5.

August only features 3 League games and City will fancy their chances of beating Mansfield just a week after the Shrewsbury game, before we then entertain Accrington Stanley.

The first BIG game of the season sees Bradford visit on September 8th and we make the emotional return trip of boxing day. Grimsby Town come to Sincil Bank two weeks later and we make the return to Blundell Park on December 29th.

Whereas our first away game is the shortest of the season, our last will be the longest as the Imps travel to Morecambe for the 45th game of the season. The 46th game of the season will be against Wrexham at Sincil Bank.
