After a day which saw many changes in the table, a last minute equaliser by Grimsby Town at Shrewsbury means that the Imps will face Bristol Rovers in the Semi Finals of the playoffs. The game at the Memorial Stadium next Saturday will come just 3 weeks after the sides drew 0-0 in the league.

At various points during the day, City were due to face Shrewsbury Town but that last minute equaliser means that the Imps will head to Bristol Rovers, a side that City will be confident of getting past after not conceding against the Gas this season. City dominated the home game against Bristol Rovers, coming out with just a 1-0 victory from a game that wouldn't have flattered City if it had finished 5-0. The away game 2 weeks ago was a far more even contest, City created the best chances and hit the woodwork 4 times, and really should have won but Jamie Forrester decided not to shoot when a mistake from a defender saw him get a free run on goal.

Bristol Rovers fans seem to think that they're already in the final though after beating Hartlepool 2-1. Fan's posts on their official message board would leave an uninterested bystander into believing that Lincoln might as well not turn up in these semi-finals as Bristol Rovers are apparantly already guaranteed a place in the final.

Centenary Gas said : "A big crowd at a final would be nice, couldnt see MK Dons or Shrews bringing many."

City will travel to the Memorial Stadium next Saturday for the 5:15pm kick off. The return game will be on the following Thursday, with a 7:45pm kick off at Sincil Bank.
