Peterborough game goes ahead at normal time

Plymouth's come-from-behind victory over Peterborough in the FA means City won't have to re-arrange the Posh game next week. If Peterborough had won, they would have had the joy of a 4th round game at Barnet next week, rather than heading to Sincil Bank for a vital derby match.

The game next Saturday will have a little less spice after the "mutual" termination of Keith Alexander's contract at London Road. However, it will be the first time that several ex-City stars will grace the field for the opposition. If Peterborough lose again this weekend lose to Stockport this weekend, it will mean coming to Sincil Bank on the back of 7 straight league defeats, and 8 defeats in the last 9 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile in League 2, Accrington Stanley did their survival hopes a favour with a hard fought 3-2 win over Mansfield Town. City's opponents on Saturday, Bury, could only draw 1-1 at home to Darlington.
