Lincoln City striker, Mark Stallard has been awarded the award of "Player of the Month" for a September where he scored 4. The former Shrewsbury striker, netted two braces during the month, one against Accrington Stanley and the other was because of two impressive strikes at Wycombe.

Stallard is currently the Imp's leading scorer with 6 league goals and each of his goals has been very different to each other. A heavily deflected strike at Hereford was doubled in the same game when he headed in from a Forrester cross. His next goal came in the League Cup in when he got City back into the game with a powerful drive from just inside the area. 11 days later and he got his first brace for the Imps when he followed up a poachers goal with a across-goal strike. He had to wait a further 22 days to score again but did so with a calm strike to give the Imps a 2-1 lead before a beautiful volley secured the victory for the Imps.

Stallard is the first City player since Gareth McAuley back in January, to win the monthly award.
