Nuneaton Borough 3 Leigh RMI 1

Nuneaton exacted revenge for their shock defeat at Hilton Park earlier in the season by putting another nail in RMI's Conference North coffin. Although it's been a season of virtually constant lows for RMI, one highpoint they will certainy look back on with a smile is the victory over Nuneaton at Hilton Park that put a serious dent in Borough's promotion ambitions.

That won't provide much comfort though as Northern Premier football at Hilton Park in 2006/07 looks a more likely prospect with each passing week, and every set of dropped points as the season nears it's conclusion.

It was RMI who actually took the lead at Manor Park this afternoon when Gareth Williams scored his first goal in RMI colours, but it proved to be in vain as the hosts fought back, with Scott Rickards claiming two goals before David Staff clinched the victory with Nuneaton's third goal of the afternoon.
