Will RMI finally manage to grab a victory? Will the match actually be completed? Will it take place at all? A few of the many questions ahead of tomorrow evening's relegation grudge match with local rivals Northwich. "Who's that?" might certainly be a question on the lips of several RMI supporters tomorrow evening when Steve Bleasdale's side go in to battle against fellow strugglers Northwich, in a game that was originally set to take place on Boxing Day but fell victim to the Christmas snow and frost. Bleasdale has brought in former Chester City striker Danny Byrne and ex-Liverpool youngster Mark Peers ahead of the game, while former Scarborough striker Karl Rose, amazingly one of the club's most established players despite a relatively short stay at Hilton Park, has departed for Conference rivals Tamworth.

Lee Houlickin, Ashley Scothern and Daniel Douglas-Pringle have all featured in recent games but have been released by the club after Bleasdale decided that they were surplus to requirements.

Of the players remaining at Hilton Park, inspirational captain Gareth Stoker is struggling with an ankle injury and faces a late fitness test to make the starting line-up, although Bleasdale has no other major injury worries.

Visitors Northwich have doubts over defender Peter Handyside with a hamstring problem, while Danny Mayman is struggling with a knock picked up in the game with Canvey Island at the weekend.

Encounters between the two clubs in recent times have been cursed by the weather, with a Conference cup encounter a couple of seasons ago being postponed an incredible eight times, while the game between the two sides on New Years Day was cruelly ended at half time after torrential rain and battering winds reduced the pitch to a lake, with RMI finding themselves in the unlikely position of deservedly leading by two goals to one.

There is a doubt hanging over the game taking place after Leigh Centurions showcase first game in Super League against Huddersfield in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday took place on an absolute mudbath of a pitch, and the Centurions Under 21 side had a friendly with local rivals Wigan postponed on Sunday to allow the pitch time to recover for Tuesday night's match.
