RMI set to look for third boss of the season

Leigh RMI are on the lookout for their third manager of the season after Geoff Lutley ended his short reign in charge of the club, resigning in the wake of Saturday's 3-0 defeat at home to fellow strugglers York. Lutley has only been at the club for less than three months, but has cited that growing work commitments mean that he is unable to compromise between his full-time employment and coaching at such a competitive level as the Conference.

He leaves RMI still rooted to the foot of the table after he collected only one point during his reign, in a 1-1 draw at home to Scarborough, although the quality of football on show at Hilton Park has undoubtedly improved a great deal since he took over from Phil Starbuck.

Although the RMI board are looking to have a new manager appointed in time for Saturday's crunch clash with relegation rivals Forest Green Rovers, they are keen to stress that they will be taking enough time to make sure that the 'right' person is appointed.
