Farnborough Town 1 Leigh RMI 1

It may be a new season but the problems of old remain, with RMI again conceding a late goal meaning they only took one point away from the long trip to Farnborough. Former York City striker David McNiven scored his fourth goal in three games but it wasn´t enough for an RMI victory who only drew because of a spectacular equaliser for ´Boro from Ross Weatherstone, who scored with an overhead kick past RMI goalkeeper Stuart Coburn.

Both sides had chances in a lively game but it wasn´t until the second half that the game sprung into life, with McNiven giving the Railwaymen the lead after fifty two minutes, again linking up succesfully with former Macclesfield Town striker Neil Robinson who again provided the assist for McNiven to fire home.

Unfortunately that merely kick started ´Boro and they equalised late on with centre back Weatherstone´s overhead kick.
