Two goals from Andy Heald saw Leigh RMI climb out of the bottom three for the first time in two months at the expense of opponents Nuneaton Borough. Local boy Heald's two strikes, one in the first half and one in stoppage time at the end of the game, gave RMI a fantastic away victory which saw them climb above Nuneaton in the table and fuel hopes of Conference survival.

Leigh travelled down the M6 rather apprehensive after their last trip to the Midlands, a 2-1 defeat against lower league Moor Green, and were fully aware of the importance of the game in their quest for Conference survival.

RMI manager Mark Patterson will now be looking for The Railwaymen to build on today's victory and gain more points before the end of the season, starting with Tuesday nights game at home to Farnborough Town.

Both sides desperately needed to win today's game and Heald secured the three points with his double strike.
