Leigh RMI 0 Telford United 3

By Matt Lawton
December 2 2002

A disappointingly poor performance from RMI meant that they fell to a very disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Telford United this afternoon.

RMI never created any concrete chances and Telford grabbed a deserved lead through Paul Moore who rounded goalkeeper Stuart Coburn and poked the ball home. Leigh huffed and puffed but lacked a killer touch and went in at half time a goal down.

RMI played slightly better in the second half but after starting brightly Telford came right back into the game and clinched the game when Moore smashed the ball past Coburn into the net.

A last minute goal from David Brown rubbed salt into the RMI wounds.
