Versatile former Walsall and Tranmere Rovers man who made his Genesis debut as an impressive substitute in a 3-2 defeat to Radcliffe Borough in the Lancashire FA Co-Operative Challenge Trophy Second Round at Stainton Park in December 2008 having joined the club earlier in the same month after two years on a football scholarship in the United States.
His full league debut arrived on Boxing Day 2008 as Genesis lost 2-0 to Witton Albion at Cantilever Park, Warrington.
Although the early part of his Genesis career saw Cunliffe play as a striker or midfielder, he produced a sterling performance at centre back in his side's 4-2 victory over FC United of Manchester on Saturday 14th February 2009.
