Former players on the move

Two of Leigh RMI's former stars have found themselves on the move this weekend, with club stalwart Steve Brockley and former striker Steve Burton finding themselves at new clubs ahead of the next UniBond League season when it begins in two months time.

Twenty five year old defender Brockley, a former Leigh RMI captain who made twenty five appearances last season, has made the short move to UniBond League Division One North side Skelmersdale United after serving the club for a number of years, first as a junior in the club's youth set up before progressing right the way up to being first team captain.

On behalf of the club's supporters, LeighRMI.Net would like to wish Brock all the very best at Skem and thank him for the hard work and tireless effort he showed when playing for the club.

Also on the move is ex-RMI striker Steve Burton, who will be facing his former employers in the UniBond Premier League next season after he left Blue Square North side Harrogate Town to join Guiseley.
