Leigh RMI vs. Hyde United preview

After Saturday's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Blyth Spartans, Steve Bleasdale's new look RMI side look to get back on track when they welcome local rivals Hyde United to Hilton Park on Tuesday evening for a game that is vital at both ends of the table.

Leigh midfielder Phil Charnock faces a late fitness check ahead of the fixture after withdrawing from the action at Blyth with an injury that he picked up within minutes of the kick off, with ex-Tranmere midfielder Sean Ferguson in line to make his first start for the club in what is Steve Bleasdale's first home game since rejoining the club.

One player that is sure to be making a return to Hilton Park is striker Chris Simm, who plays against Leigh for the first time since leaving the club in the summer to join ex-RMI boss Steve Waywell at Ewen Fields.

Last season's encounter saw RMI secure a comfortable 2-0 Friday night victory, and a similar result will be more than satisfying for the home support.
