Hughton Rubbishes Transfer Rumours

Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton has rejected rumours than he wishes to sign former Arsenal and Portsmouth veteran Sol Campbell, Hull city's midfielder Jimmy Bullard and Bolton's Andy O'Brien. The media has been buzzing with transfer speculation over the weekend, but Hughton has been quick to extinguish links to the club.

He told The Chronicle;

"There's been talk about Sol Campbell and Andy O'Brien in the past and there are always names that keep coming up, but we've not looked into signing those players.

And Jimmy Bullard is another player that has not been mentioned.

There are some players we are interested in and we're open-minded about those options."

Thats another reason why I cant wait for the world cup to start.
It'll give sports journalists something else to do other than make up phoney transfer stories because they have nothing better to do.

Im glad he has elbowed stories like this and is truthfull about reasons. Sol did well when he went back but Hughton said the wages were huge so f00k that. F00king O'brian, come on. Maybe when we were in the championship on loan but not now.

Young hungry players, like what was said. We have enough experience.
