1-1 Draw

60th minute Caroll from 6 yards in an open net

65th minute Harper saves PK

85th minute Goodwille converts PK

Good news: Caroll got some more confidence, nearly got a 1-0 win. Vukcic dressed out for the first time.

Bad news: Two Penalties: Nolan handles, R. Taylor shirt pull. None of the young players got any significant pitch time: Lua Lua saw 15 minutes. Alan Smith still wearing the arm band without contributing anything.

I'm guessing they got 2 penalties because it was their centenary game so it wouldn't look good if they lost it, just like Shearer's testomonial. Someone just didn't tell Harper apparently...

Apparently the players all chipped in for a plane because they didnt fancy an 8 hour round coach journey, cant say I blame them to be honest

I've just had a 60 hour round coach journey, they should try that one for size

South of France, jumped in the shower as soon as I got there. Good to see they're not being treated like superstars there though, although I suppose it's more to do with Ashley being a tightarse...
