Mustapha Carayol has left Lincoln City to join Bristol Rovers. The winger spent a year at Sincil Bank, scoring four goals along the way in what was a generally inconsistent spell at the Imps.
Carayol made a scoring debut for the Imps at Rotherham in August last year, after that he was largely inconsistent, often going for long periods without contributing in matches. He did score four goals throughout the season but he became highly injury prone towards the end of the season.
He has now left for Bristol Rovers, signing a two year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Speaking to the BBC, Steve Tilson regreted season Carayol leave. "Mustapha is a decent player and he would have done well for us in the Conference. You have got to have players that want to play for the football club but he wants to play at the highest level."
