Cian Hughton has been voted as the 50th best player in the Football League by FourFourTwo magazine. League Two players dominate the lower positions in the chart, but Hughton is the first Imp to be included since Jamie Forrester back in the 2006/7 season.
The 21 year old defender was one of just a mere handful of Imps included in the list of players you could nominate for, but has done well to get into the top 50 when the other League Two respentatives are considered "household League Two names".
Rotherham United's Adam Le Fondre is 49th with Chris Dagnall of Rochdale being 48th. Notts County have both 47th and 44th with Schmeichel and Hughes respectively, Pitman of Bournemouth is 45th but Craig Mawson of Rochdale is in 43rd, the highest League Two player.
