Oakes joins Jackson's revolution

Lincoln City's first signing of the summer is an impressive one, grabbing Stefan Oakes from Wycombe Wanderers. The midfielder has played well in his games against the Imps, including hitting the bar for the Chairboys from 40 yards in 2006/7. It's an unusual thing to see a positive summer signing at Sincil Bank.

Oakes joins the Imps on a two year deal from Wycombe Wanderers after helping Wycombe to the Playoffs and a Carling Cup semi final. He is naturally a left footed midfielder and that could spell trouble for Dany N'Guessan, the Frenchman playing in that position during last season.

Oakes has always impressed whilst playing against the Imps and has always proved to be a handful. Oakes signing is an obvious statement of intent from Jackson that he wants to bring quality into this team.
