Grimsby Town supporter, Dave Parrott returns again to give us his thoughts on Saturday's game against the Imps. The lifelong Mariner gives us his thoughts about Buckley, Rodgers, Grimsby's promotion chances and of course, what he thinks about arguably the most important game of the season for the Imps.

Describe you season so far

We never realy got started under Rodger, but under Buckley we look much strong and have a good chance of making the playoffs again.

What was your initial reaction to Grimsby replacing Russell Slade with Graham Rodger?

I was quite happy actually and I still think he could have done a decent job in the long term.

Was Buckley your choice to replace Graham Rodger?

I didn't have much of an opinion to be honest but he has experience and hates long ball football so I'm not going to complain.

Buckley has got off to a good start again at Grimsby, why do you think he was never tasted the same success at other clubs such as Lincoln and Rochdale?

I honestly have no idea, I guess his personality didn't help. Nor did his thieving son, the prat.

How far can you go under Buckley?

Maybe if he stays long enough, we could return to the championship but for now, I'll settle for a top half finish and maybe a playoff push.

How much has Michael Reddy's injury affected your season?

It hasn't.

Out of all the players that left you in the summer, who does your team mis the most?

Rob Jones, our defence looked less than solid until Buckley took over.

What was your opinion of the playoff games between the two sides?

It seems they were years ago now, as usual when we won last year, our defence held out well but both teams had enough chances to win.

Were you as surprised as we were that Futcher wasn't a complete donkey in those games?

*in a sarcastic tone* I don't know what you mean. He's a top class defender, I knew he wouldn't let us down.

Describe your "performance" in the P/O Final

Erm, no. I don't want to.

With regards to the game, do you think it will be one sided or a very close game?

Hopefully it will be a close game as we've been winning by the odd goal lately. I can't see it being open.

If anyone, who will be Grimsby's match winner?

Paterson is the man of the moment so I guess it could be him.

Who do you see as Lincoln's danger man?

Jamie Forrester, but hopefully he won't play. It wouldn't surprise me if Gritton scored just to piss me off.

Where do you think both sides will finish this season and who do you think will go up and down?

I think that we'll both finish in the playoffs with us beating you in the final. I think Walsall, Wycombe and MK Dons will go up automatically with Macclesfield and Torquay going down.
