Keith Alexander has a 2nd aluminium Coke bottle to his collection after winning the Manager of the Month for February. 13 points from a possible 15 mean that the Imps now have a great chance for promotion but they will have to do a lot better than the last time Keith won the award.

The draw against Macclesfield was the only game City didn't win as the Imps saw off Stockport, Torquay, Barnet and Notts County. The last time Keith won the award, he won all 3 of the Imps' league games in November 2004, however, in December 2004, the Imps failed to win and the only goal came in the final minute against Macclesfield, a game the Imps were already 2-0 down in.

Keith's reaction has been far different to the last time he won the award. Chris Kamara, the man responsible for chosing the manager of the month vowed not to give the award to Alexander again after the Imps boss complained that all he got was an Aluminium Coca-Cola bottle and not a meal for his staff which previous managers had been treated to.

Keith's reaction this time on www.redimps.com was far more appreciative this time.

"I'm delighted to have won such a prestigious award and I accept it on behalf of everyone connected with the club, but particulary the players who have been magnificant for me during the past month and throughout my time at Sincil Bank. People forget that we lost 12 players last summer, eight being first team regulars and it has taken a little while for the new lads to gel. Their efforts throughout the season though have been outstanding and they should feel proud to recieve such recognition."
