The club has spent a rumoured £150,000 on a nearby children's adventure land, rather than give that money to Keith to spend. This just finally proves that Goal 2010 is the biggest joke in football today considering that money could possibly have been spent on a player such as Jon Parkin.

The purchase of playzone proves what a joke this club is becoming. That money should have been spent on a striker such as Parkin, a player who seems to genuinely care about what happens on the pitch, something that the Lincoln board obviously don't anymore. Throughout his games against Lincoln, and I suspect against all the other teams in the division, Parkin has played with passion and you can tell, just by the way he reacts by even just conceeding a free kick, that he genuinely cares, he may go a bit over the top at times but that's better than having players who only turn up for the money.

Parkin has been the best striker the Imps' have played against in the past 18 months, he might not be the most subtle strikers but 22 goals last year, for a converted defender just shows how deadly this man can be and that is what the club is lacking, not only something that can score, but a player who gives a damn about what happens on the pitch.

I'm not saying that Parkin is the striker for the Imps but we need someone like him, someone who can score, inspire others and show that he actually cares. How many times this season have we seen our strikers conceed a free kick and just have that "I don't care because I'll still get paid" look on their face, a striker like Parkin would get into a fit if that happened to him.

The most worrying part of this whole season is that Parkin's wages were just £1,500 a week and Keith says "he's out of my range", just shows how little the board are willing to risk, even just a bit of money on a player that could get us higher up in the league. Marriott and Morgan are on similar wages a week, so why can't we have 1 or 2 more players on that? We've made over £1 million pounds in the last 3 years, we're not in debt anymore so let's stop acting like it.

January should certainly be interesting when the board gives Keith a cheque for £1,000 pounds to spend on whoever he wants. The fact that the club spent a rumour £150,000 on Playzone (a kids adventure land for those who don't know), rather than give Keith that money to bring in some more talent, says it all. That £150,000 could have brought a proving goal scorer to Sincil Bank, such as Anthony Elding from Stevenage. I really do sympathise with Keith on this situation, the board aren't willling to even slightly help him out in this situation.

The club's going on about Goal 2010, about how it wants to be run and managed like a Championship side, there's no point being run like a Championship side when you're in the conference, which this club will be unless the board at least show's faith in Keith by giving him some money to spend. It's all well and good saying that you want the club to move on, off the field, but it's not good being run like Wolves, Sheffield United or Watford, if you're not prepared to show that same dedication to playing like them on the pitch.
