Suprisingly, people have been asking me what City need to do to get through to the playoff final (which you would assume be obvious based on that we're 1-0 up, it's not exactly rocket science). So for all the people who have asked, here's your answer.
Quite simply
Lincoln go through if
They avoid defeat
Macclesfield go through if
They win the 2nd leg by 2 clear goals
The game goes to extra time if
Macclesfield win by 1 goal
Below is a table of what happens depending on the scoreline. So in other words, on the table below, Macclesfield only have 6 possible scorelines that will see them through whereas Lincoln will go through if they achieve one of 16 scorelines that would see them through. Extra time is only possible in 4 of the below situations.
