The build up to the new season continues to be disrupted as the fall out of Steve O'Dare resigning as the Chairman of the Lincoln City Supporters Trust. A fourth member of the Trust Board has now resigned from his post.

It was hoped that with a new team and a new(ish) manager ahead of the new season would see talk focused on football, however, recent days have thrown that out of the window following a meeting of the Lincoln City Supporters Trust board.

At that meeting, Steve O'Dare resigned his post as Chairman, and that was quickly followed by the resignation of Ty Corcoran and David Kirkbright, however, a fourth member of the board has now quit. In a statement that was sent to the Trust Broad by email, that has now been placed onto the popular group "Lincoln City Banter" on Facebook, Lee Thomas revealed he had now left his position on the Supporters Trust board.

"Dear All,

Please consider this e-mail to be my resignation as of immediate effect.

I have lost all confidence in the current Trust board and believe that the Board no longer has the confidence of its membership. Therefore there is no way in which I can continue in my position.

The events of Saturday were reprehensible however I had hoped to remain in my position as I held the belief that I could affect more change from within the Trust board than from outside of it however the actions taken by some after Saturday are at the very least hypocritical and any remaining confidence I had in the board to turn the situation around has been completely lost.

As a supporter of the football club and a great believer in the Trust model I would implore the board to call and EGM in order to hold a vote of no confidence, this would be a far better course of events than the membership forcing one upon the board.

Please be aware that this communication is not private and confidential and I will be releasing it as a personal statement. Out of courtesy I will allow 1 hour for anyone to raise objection to this before I publish the statement.

This has lead to increased pressure on the Supporters Trust to communicate with it's members of other fans, which is one of the main points of criticism towards the group in the past. Thomas has also stated that he will be seeking an EGM.

The trust is total farce and restarting with Rob Bradley and Rick Keracher back in charge as they wanted what right for the club/fans this current are just after what they can get for themselves.

Here we go again!

Instead of it being used for a tool for social standing,it should represent the fans but it never has represented me or many others.

Total and utter garbage, the Trust, that is.

They should be dismantled immediately. Utter idiots! Why would anyone try to associate themselves with those fools is beyond me. Good try, Steve O and the others, but you were NEVER going to effect change.

If they were not the holders of x amount of shares, I would say much worse.
