Tanzanian born Abdillahie Yussuf is about as far from a prolific striker as you can get, however, the Imps do have a history of doing well with goal shy strikers, such as Davide Somma.

Yussuf began his career in the academy at Leicester and he was reportedly prolific, however, he failed to break into the first team. He was loaned out to Tamworth, scoring twice in ten appearances before being release from his contract at the Walkers Stadium.

He went on a trial with Burton, at the end of which he was offered a contract. Injury plagued his time at the Pirelli and his 25 appearances yielded just a single goal. He was released at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Although described as a gamble by Gary Simpson, Yussuf joined the Imps just weeks after his release from Burton.
