Wahey, we've FINALLY got a striker

Lincoln City made two signings on Thursday, the first being Chris Herd from Aston Villa, and then the news that Chris Sutton had finally brought a striker in on loan. Notts County's Delroy Facey has a reputation of putting himself about the pitch, and will hopefully add to Lincoln City's already poor line-up.

Herd has joined the Imps on loan from Aston Villa, making him the fourth current player at the club to have joined City from Villa Park, the other three being Paul Green, Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj. An attacking midfielder, Herd has played for Port Vale and Wycombe in recent seasons, both sets of fans being impressed with the youngster.

Facey joins from Notts County. With the Magpies having about 2,000 strikers at the moment, Sutton pounced to land Facey, a former Premiership striker. Facey has had a mixed career scoring wise, but he is a fairly big striker and will certainly add more what to what is otherwise a very lightweight strike force.

This now means that there are almost as many loan players as permanent players in the squad. On loan at the moment are Nathan Baker, Adam Watts, Eric Lichaj, Sergio Torres, Chris Herd, Anthony Pulis, Rene Howe and Delroy Facey.

Really hope joe heath plays well tomorrow to show us imps what he can do. he looked good enough when he played 12 championship games just last season but needs more games to get fitness back.
