Lee Frecklington will be kicking himself tonight after missing three sitters in a 0-0 draw with Bradford. The Imps were generally the better team but couldn't find that killer instinct, also having to rely on two brilliant saves from Rob Burch to deny what would have been an undeserved victory for the visitors.

The Imps kicked off the game and it was a quick start by the home side, winning a free kick on the edge of the box when Aaron Brown was hacked down, the challenge being mere centimetres from being inside the area. Frecklington tried to hit the ball straight into the net, only for the ball to hit the wall and Scott Kerr's ball back in went out for a throw.

Brown volleyed over following a counter attack after Burch's catch from a Daley ball. Daley would have a shot deflected wide for the game's first corner, only for the Bantams to waste the effort. Three quick-fire corners followed for the Imps with the final one seeing Hone have a header cleared off of the line. The home side were enjoying large sells of progression and really should have gone 1-0 ahead when N'Guessan was played through, he tried to chip the ball over Evans, only to see his effort go fairly wide.

Bradford started coming into it but weren't really creating any chances, but neither were the Imps. Kovacs had a header cleared off the line again and you could already tell it was going to be a game of frustration for both sides. Beevers was booked for a foul on Jones just before a rare chance on goal for the visitors saw Boulding find himself through on goal, only to see his effort go wide of the target.

The second half started slowly but it's first effort should really have given the hosts the lead when N'Guessan got past his marker and he crossed low into the box. It fell to Lee Frecklington and the youngster, despite having a near open goal in front of him, blasted well over the target. Bradford responded by Boulding forcing Burch into a fine save from a low header.

Frecklington was against frustrated as the ball fell to him close out again, only to see Evans save his goalbound effort with the save of the match. Mullarkey's first shot for the Imps finally came in his fourth first team appearance, see it well saved by Evans. Patulea was replaced by LJL before Thorne came on for Conlon for the visitors, not after Rob Burch had produced another stunning save, this time denying Daley.

Frecklington volleyed wide yet again and it was a hatrick of horrendous misses for the Imp. Janos Kovacs found himself through on goal after a clever through ball, only to find himself pulled back by a Bradford man. Despite being clearly the last man, the ref gave a free kick without even talking to the defender. Oakes replaced Brown and subsequently blasted the free kick straight at the wall.

That was the final chance of a fairly entertaining 0-0 draw.

Deserved a victory but could have quite easily lost it with those 2 late Bradford chances a win at Luton tomorrow and back in the mix after the results yet again went the imps way
