Yet again City conceded a goal in the final 5 minutes thanks to the opposition's only real chance to score. Andy Bishop equalised Louis Dodds' opener for the Imps 5 minutes previously. The game was absolutely dire with City have the best of it, but as soon as the goal went in we just sat back and invited pressure onto us, eventually paying the price and making it 24 games without a cleansheet.

The game contained very few noteworthy incidents but the game started quickly with City almost scoring after 20 seconds. A promising attacking move saw Warlow with a one-on-one with Provett. The Welsh youngster shot straight at the former Hartlepool stopper and Provett was equal to his second attempt as well. Jamie Hand continued City's early pressure but again Provett was able to stop the shot.

Challinor headed wide from a freekick before Freck shot wide. It was at this point that game took a turn for the boring, the next chance taking 20 minutes to come and it saw Forrester's left footed effort sail over the bar.

The odd attacks here and there came to nothing as the teams went into the break neither side finding the breakthrough.

Frecklington shot wide at the beginning of the second half but the second half was almost as boring as the first half with no realistic chances before Louis Dodds replaced Owain Warlow with 15 minutes left....yes the game was that dull.

Ben Wright's intelligent work on the right saw him play the ball to Frecklington, the youngster stepped over the ball and Dodds fired first time past Provett for his first goal since the win over Barnet.

Bury's first decent attack of the game saw their first on target chance and as usual, their first chance on target resulted in a goal. Bury won a corner and Andy Bishop headed it in.

Amoo, having just recovered from a broken arm, made his first appearance in several months as he replaced Green. Neither side could come up with the winning goal.
