Lincoln City yet again failed to take advantage of results going our way by losing at Wycombe...made even more disappointing by the casual attitude of some of the players, one or two or the players looked like they were just going for a casual jog to stretch the muscles without attempting to go near the ball. and that attitude still sees City bottom of the table.

The game started off slowly but it was the Imps who had the first chance as Dodds attempted unsuccessfully to get in behind Antwi. Oakes dragged a shot wide for the hosts.

Frecklington had the first decent chance of the game when he picked up the ball from 30 yards out, but much like his chance in our last away game, he decided not to press forward and shot near enough first time, seeing it sail high and wide of the target.

Ryan almost scored his first ever goal for the Imps but he failed to connect with a Kerr ball, and within a minute he saw red as his double footed challenge with studs showing on Will Antwi saw him unsurprsingly red carded. City were almost punished immediately when Bullock's shot hit the bar from an acute angle. Torres was booked as he tackled at head height against Paul Green.

Torres fired wide before a very curious decision saw Moses quite clearly head it out but the referee giving a goalkick to the Imps. Everyone in the ground was extremely surprised by this, and it almost resulted in a goal for City as Gary Croft pushed forward.

Bullock and Holt combined well for the later to take advantage of Smith's slip and square the ball to Scott McGleish, the former Northampton striker had no trouble tapping it into an open goal in the 39th minute and City were behind on the road yet again. City were lucky to survive at only one down before half time.

Torres headed wide early in the second half and the Imps were again lucky as Wycombe failed to push forward significantly, this despite spending most of the early stages of the second half in the Imps half of the pitch. Stockley shooting wide from a decent opportunity.

Danny Hone only barely got to Paul Green's set piece before Stockley's next shot was palmed wide by Smith. Hand and John-Lewis replaced Dodds and Warlow, it was the first bit of running Warlow had done all afternoon after what was quite frankly the most casual and half-arsed attitude I've seen any City player put in for a long time.

Torres against proving a decent player as his long range shot went narrowly wide before a Paul Green set piece went out of play very quickly. Frecklington wasted City's best chance of the game when a free kick came to him, instead of taking it down and trying to kick it he decided to head it tamely over the bar. Bencharif came on for Hone.

For probably the first time in his City career, Frecklington got a corner over the first defender, not that it made any difference as Moses still headed wide. Oakes was replaced by Boucaud for Wycombe before Kerr was booked for a challenge on Bullock.

One or two half chances for the Imps came to nothing and the Imps slipped to yet another defeat, remaining the only side in League 2 not to reach double figure points.
