Bleasdale makes first signings

New Leigh RMI manager Steve Bleasdale has made the first major changes to the make-up of his playing staff with several players passing through the Hilton Park doors in opposite directions. Bleasdale has brought former Chester City striker Danny Byrne and ex-Liverpool youngster Mark Peers to Hilton Park and both are set to make their debuts in Tuesday night's re-arranged home game with Northwich.

Those two arrivals are countered with the departure of four of Bleasdale's squad, however.

Leaving RMI are Lee Houlickin, Ashley Scothern and former Bury man Daniel Douglas-Pringle, despite the trio only being at the club for barely a matter of weeks after Bleasdale judged them to be surplus to requirements. One player who he didn't count on leaving though is former Scarborough striker Karl Rose, who has left for Tamworth after receiving a better financial offer from RMI's Conference rivals.
