The transfer saga of former Aston Villa defender Paul Browne is seemingly coming to an end, as he has decided to sign a one-year deal with Scottish Second Division side Abroath.
Browne was set to sign for Leigh but because of wage bill restrictions has decided to sign for Abroath after a sucessful trial last weekend.
Browne was in with some controversey up in Scotland after a hoax-call he made angered the fans, board and players. So he fled to England to escape the controverey and was going to sign for Leigh last week.
Abroath boss John Brownlie has decided to give Browne another chance and expects the 28-year-old to sign with the Second Division club on Thursday evening.
