Leigh RMI goalkeeper John Lamb completed an almost perfect season with a virtual clean sweep of the awards on offer at the club’s annual “Player of the Year” awards ceremony that took place in the Mick Martyn Bar at Hilton Park, following Saturday’s monumental 2-1 victory over Worksop Town.

Lamb (pictured below receiving the “LeighRMI.net Player of the Year” award) proved to be a pivotal figure in RMI’s quest to secure Conference North safety, again showing his quality in making several vital saves in the exhilarating win over relegation rivals Worksop on Saturday.

 

 

Yorkshireman Lamb collected the aforementioned “LeighRMI.net Player of the Year” award, as voted for by users of this website, along with the “Away Supporters Player of the Year” award, “Player’s Player of the Year” award and “Supporters Club Player of the Year” award, while Mark Maddox walked away with the “Manager’s Player of the Year” award (pictured below) and Hugh McAuley won the “Goal of the Season” award for his effort away to Stevenage Borough in the FA Trophy.

 

 

Well done to all those who won trophies, while all of the players that haven't been mentioned have all contributed hugely to an intriguing season that has eventually ended with achieving our ultimate goal of staying in the Conference North.
