"It does feel good to get my first win as manager - the only way is up now,"
"This has been a great workout for us. The boys did exceptionally well against a technically good side in Chivas. Our efforts throughout were very professional and we did everything to stifle their flowing movement. The players stuck to the basics and showed why we are a difficult side to play against."
Lee on Zoltan Harsanyi and the Second Half
"I was pleased with Zoltan's (Harsanyi) goal. He did well to get beyond the two defenders and place his shot beyond their 'keeper from an acute angle.
"The second half we continued to thrive and created some excellent chances. It was inevitable when Nobby (Kevin Nolan) popped up to score his second of the tournament. He has a knack of being in the right place to score crucial goals. I hope that will continue for the rest of pre-season ad ultimately in the Barclays Premier League when it starts next month.
"The fitness levels were top notch and in humid conditions they worked ever so hard to keep ahead of Chivas. That is testament to the character of the players and the structure we are putting in place."
Nolan on Chivas victory
"The victory over Chivas was very positive, We did everything asked of us including playing at the right tempo and keeping our shape, which is vital when playing a new system.""We matched it against a side well into their season and showed that the hard work and effort we are putting into to football fitness and strength and conditioning training in the gym is really paying off.
Nolan on Fitness levels
"At this stage of pre-season, it is all about fitness levels and matches tend to take secondary importance. The victory on Saturday and the draw against the Korean side Seongnam have been competent performances and the future looks bright even though you shouldn't read much into pre-season matches."
Nolan on the future
"It is the players that have turned us into a force over the last few years and with the right blend of youth and experience we are capable of doing well again this season,"
"There is still a lot of preparation between now and next month's Barclays Premier League opener against Newcastle United, but the signs are very positive. With the changes at the Club and the proactive back up support from the coaching staff, we are reaching elite levels of strength and fitness
