The news just about every Coventry City supporter feared ahead of the clash versus Chelsea: Dan Fox will miss the quarter final, after knacking his knee.
The injury forced him off the pitch at half-time versus Sheffield United, though he has been carrying knee-knack for a few weeks. Fox is said to be 'devastated' - as are most Coventry City supporters, as he was a massive part of our back four, and was probably our best hope of a goal too. Marcus Hall looks likely to take Fox's place, which is a bit like replacing Stella Artois with Tesco Own Brand lager (No offence intended, Marcus). Leon 'Feel The Love' Best has recovered from a throat infection, and is expected to start.
Presuming he's sobered up from his midweek rant, and arrest for being drunk and disorderly (While his wife was helping to raise thousands of pounds for charity by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro), Ashley Cole will more than likely take his place in the Chelsea side, and will be hoping for the win bonus that will help him pay-off his £80 fine. Nicolas Anelka could miss the match with a toe injury, while Michael Essien, just back from a long-term injury, might or might not feature, depending on where you get your info from! (Sky Sports says Essien 'could feature', while Clubcall say he is set to miss out).
Now if only JohnTerry, Frank Lampard, and Didier Drogba (Plus a dozen or so others) can have some freak 'tripping over their own laces' accident in the away dressing room, Fox's absence might not be quite so costly as was first feared....
