Leigh RMI 1 Farnborough Town 2

By Matt Lawton
November 29 2004
It was a case of another week, another defeat for Leigh RMI as they fell to yet another loss as they continue to struggle at the foot of the Conference, this time at home to Farnborough Town.
A crowd of just 225 were at Hilton Park to witness RMI once again surrender a possibly profitable position to stay rooted to the foot of the table after midfielder Gareth Stoker had previously looked as though he'd grabbed a precious point for the Railwaymen in their relegation dogfight.

The visitors took the lead just after the half hour mark through Stephen Hughes before Stoker equalised on the hour. Unfortunately, RMI's curse of conceding late goals struck again, this time with a late Paul Harkness header grabbing the points for Farnborough shortly after young RMI defender Mark Drew had been harshly sent off for a second bookable offence.
