Scarborough 4 Leigh RMI 1

By Matt Lawton
March 16 2004
Leigh RMI failed to build on Monday night's impressive performance at Shrewsbury Town and were plunged further in to the relegation mire following a thrashing at the hands of FA Cup heroes Scarborough.
Notts County pair Tony Hackworth and Kevin Nicholson both scored debut goals as the Seadogs ran riot, despite a 0-0 half time score.

Steve Brodie scored his third RMI goal to pull it back to 2-1 but a Gerry Harrison own goal and a late goal from Karl Rose gave the FA Cup heroes an impressive victory and plunged the Railwaymen further in to relegation trouble.
