Clitheroe game postponed

This afternoon's Evo-Stik League First Division North encounter between Clitheroe and Leigh Genesis has been postponed following an inspection this morning because of a frozen pitch at Clitheroe's Shawbridge home.

A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.

It means that Leigh's next fixture is a home game against league leaders Chester at Crilly Park this coming Tuesday (1st February) with a 7.45pm kick off. Admission is £7 for adults, £5 for over 65's and students and just £2 for under 18's, with a massive crowd anticipated for this fixture.

Gutted about this though I'm sure nowhere near as gutted as Garforth as their game with Chester is off - hope we don't suffer a similar fate on Tuesday!

Only remaining games are Fylde-Salford (1pm inspection) and Ossett-Chorley (apparently on). Not looking good.

The game away to Clitheroe will now take place on Friday 29th April with a 3pm kick off - the league season has been extended by five days and that particular Friday is a public holiday because of the Royal Wedding.
