Mossley trip postponed

By Matt Lawton
November 29 2010

In what is hardly the biggest surprise of the year, tomorrow evening's Evo-Stik League First Division North visit to Mossley has been postponed.

With the country in the midst of a cold snap, the Evo-Stik League allowed clubs to carry out their pitch inspections a day early and, with temperatures struggling to get in to positive figures, tomorrow's game has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

A new date will be announced in due course.

With no fixture scheduled for the coming weekend, Leigh's next outing is an Evo-Stik League First Division North meeting with local rivals Prescot Cables at Crilly Park next Tuesday (7th December) with a 7.45pm kick off, weather permitting.

but not having a big squad playing saturday tuesday for a length of time may prove a litle much, i know we have had that at the beginning of the season but as it wears on it could be too much

No different to any other side in that regard, and I'd say we've actually got a pretty big squad compared to some others when you think how many players we've got on the books.

No it wasn't, we played them in the League Cup and it was brass monkey's. And we lost 4-0.
