Youth team graduate Steve Ferrigan made his Leigh Genesis debut as a centre back in a 2-0 defeat away to Curzon Ashton in the Evo-Stik League First Division North on Monday 8th November 2010. His home debut came in a 3-1 defeat to Cammell Laird at Crilly Park on Tuesday 16th November 2010. Ferrigan is a cultured player who can also play in midfield.

Ferrigan scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 home defeat to Harrogate Railway Athletic on Saturday 12th March 2011.
