JONATHAN SMITH

Commanding former Accrington Stanley centre back Jonathan Smith joined Leigh Genesis from Clitheroe in late March 2009 and made his debut, as captain, in the 0-0 draw with Frickley Athletic on Tuesday 24th March 2009.
Having previously played for Barrow and Fleetwood Town, Smith's home debut arrived, again as captain, in a 2-1 win over Cammell Laird at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on 31st March 2009.
Smith's first goal for the club came in a 3-1 defeat to Bamber Bridge at the QED Stadium on 1st December 2009.
After eleven months with the club, Smith left Genesis for Lancaster City on 5th February 2010.
