Young forward or midfielder who, having previously represented the Leigh Genesis reserve side, made his first team debut as a second half substitute in the FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round tie with Cammell Laird in November 2008.

His first start for the club came on 15th December 2008 as Genesis defeated neighbours Atherton Collieries 2-0 in the First Round of the Co-Operative Lancashire FA Trophy at Alder House.
