STEVE DICKINSON
D.O.B. 01/02/1977

Vastly experienced goalkeeper Steve Dickinson joined Leigh RMI in June 2008 after impressing manager Steve Bleasdale with an incredible performance against the Railwaymen for previous club Hucknall Town in a Blue Square North encounter during 2007/08, saving two penalties in Hucknall's 3-0 victory.
Most Leigh supporters will remember him from a number of matches against Southport during Dicko's successful seven year stay at Haig Avenue, where he made 283 appearances before spending eighteen months with Guiseley, the side with whom he had made his senior debut. Dickinson made his Leigh debut in the 2-0 defeat to Eastwood Town on the opening day of the 2008/09 UniBond Premier League season.
Dickinson earned himself a special place in the hearts of Genesis supporters when he rejected the approaches of other clubs to represent Leigh, free of charge, in their emotional FA Trophy tie with Cammell Laird in November 2008.
Less than a week after that particular game, Dickinson understandably left the club to join Blue Square North side Burscough.
