TOM FIELD
D.O.B. 02/08/1985

Enthusiastic midfielder who joined Leigh on a free transfer from local rivals Vauxhall Motors shortly after the conclusion of the 2007/2008 season.
A former Everton trainee, Field made fifty four Conference North appearances for Vauxhall Motors after previous spells with Stalybridge Celtic and alongside one-time RMI man Thomas Rooney at Welsh side TNS when they faced Liverpool in a Champions' League qualifier, whilst also making two appearances for Southport.
After having to sit out the first four games of the 2008/09 season because of a suspension collected whilst playing for Vauxhall Motors, Field made his Leigh debut as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Worksop Town at Watnall Road on 30th August 2008 before making his full debut in the 2-1 home win over Prescot Cables on 2nd September 2008, scoring his first goal for the club in a 4-2 home defeat to Whitby Town on 20th September 2008.
In light of Leigh Genesis' financial problems, Field left the club in late October 2008, rejoining former club Vauxhall Motors in the Blue Square North, having scored twice in twelve first team appearances at Leigh.
