CAYNE HANLEY
D.O.B. 03/04/1983
Powerful striker who joined Leigh on loan in late March 2008 until the end of the 2007/08 season from Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria.
Hanley started his career with Burnley, where he spent time on loan with Kidderminster Harriers and Hyde United, before a season with FC United of Manchester paved the way for him to join Northwich, where he made six league appearances before signing for Leigh.
Hanley made his Leigh debut as a second half substitute in the 3-0 defeat away to Hucknall Town, only a couple of days after joining Steve Bleasdale's side.
Hanley's first, and only, goal for the club was what turned out to be the winning goal in an enthralling 2-1 home win over Lancastrian rivals Burscough.
Upon his loan deal with Leigh expiring, Hanley returned to Northwich but was released from his contract in the summer of 2008 and subsequently joined UniBond League Division One side Woodley Sports, partnering former Leigh team mate Gavin Salmon in attack.
