Alfreton Town 1 Leigh RMI 0

By Matt Lawton November 10 2007
With basement rivals Barrow in FA Cup action, Leigh RMI missed the chance to climb out of the relegation zone when a late Josh Law winner saw hosts Alfreton Town claim all three points in Saturday's Blue Square North encounter at the Impact Arena, earning the Reds a spot in the top ten.

With ex-Chester City man Neil Carroll making his RMI debut along with new goalkeeper Tim Dittmer, formerly of Vauxhall Motors and Radcliffe Borough, it looked as though RMI were to earn a vital point until Josh Law volleyed home a Danny Reet cross with four minutes left on the clock, consigning RMI to a heartbreakingly similar defeat to the one they suffered last season in Derbyshire.
