League One tie awaits rearranged Johnstones Paint Trophy game winner

The winner of the rearranged Johnstones Paint second round match between Accrington Stanley and Tranmere Rovers will travel to Chesterfield in the Northern Section Quarter Final.
The draw for the next round of the tournament took place this morning, and also saw Rochdale paired with Preston, Sheffield United with Bradford and Oldham with Crewe.
Matches in the quarter final are due to take place in the week commencing Monday November 7th.

Tranmere's original second round match with Accrington was abandoned after 40 minutes with Rovers winning 2-1 following a horrific head injury to Stanley defender Tom Bender, who was knocked unconscious following a collision with his own 'keeper Ian Dunbavin.
The fixture will now take place at the Crown Ground on Wednesday 12th October, 7.45pm kick off, with the winner going through to take on Chesterfield at the B2Net Stadium in the next round.
