Les Parry was full of praise for the response of his side after last week's home drubbing by then rock-bottom Brentford as Rovers secured a much deserved 4-1 win at the Bank's Stadium to lift themselves off the bottom of League One for the time being.

Speaking to Tranmere Player, Parry said.....

"All 11 players were worthy of man of the match today. It was a massive game and the feeling of relief after it...it's probably the most pressure I've felt as Manager today."

"I said to Ian Goodison, Ian Thomas-Moore, John Welsh and Enoch Showumni before the game that I needed performances from them today because they are our senior professionals and I got them."

"It was a great finish (for the first goal). E noch did really well because he could have pulled out of the challenge with the goalkeeper."

Parry Les

"I thought Joss can play better than he did today, without being critical of him, but his level of performance was still excellent.  The two of them [Joss and John Welsh) and Max, who put in a good shift, did exceptionally well."

"I think the goal was important [for Ian Thomas-Moore) from his own point of view.  He hasn't played for us for nearly a month and that was his first 90 minutes for some time.  I had a little word with him at half time about being a bit untidy in the first half and trying some things that didn't come off, but he can only go from strength to strength now.  If he stays injury free he'll be aiming at Enoch's goal tally."

Will Parry notice that Maclaren was missing and recognise in future selection that his presence in the team is now part of the problem and only his absence is part of the solution
