Following the recent coaching staff departures of both Wayne Allison and Kenny Shiels, the Club have today boosted the numbers a little more with the announcement that Dave Timmins has today joined the club as the new Goalkeeper Coach, replacing Roy Tunks who had previously held the position.

Timmins arrives at Prenton Park from Shrewsbury Town where he has spent much of his coaching career although he has also worked at Carlisle United, Preston North End and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

While at Shrewsbury, Timmins also played a key role in the coaching of Joe Hart who went on to join Manchester City and was a member of the England squad at the 2010 World Cup.

Speaking of the appointment of Timmins, Rovers Manager Les Parry said:.......

“Dave is a highly qualified, experienced goalkeeper coach who will help our players improve."

“I’m pleased he has agreed to join us and he will become an important member of the coaching staff.”
