Rovers Add Shrewsbury to Pre-season Plans

Rovers announce a further pre-season friendly to add their summer schedule of games in the build-up to another season in League One next season......

Tranmere Rovers have added another friendly to their pre-season plans, with the Wirral side set to face Shrewsbury Town on July 31st.

The game will be played at the Prostar Stadium with a 3.00pm kick off and follows a week that includes an away trip to Mansfield and a home game against Nottingham Forest for Tranmere, as well as being one week before the start of the 2010/11 season.

The fixture will be Tranmere's first trip to the Prostar Stadium, after Shrewsbury moved their from their old home, the Gay Meadow, in 2007.

They finished twelfth in League Two this season, a finish that resulted in the sacking of manager Paul Simpson.  They are yet to appoint a new boss.
