Prices Slashed for Grimsby Carling Cup Game

Tranmere have announced today that prices for the home tie in the first round of the Carling Cup again Grimsby will be slashed from the normal matchday costs in a bid to increase the attendance at what will be John Barnes' first competitive home game in charge or Rovers.

Tranmere Rovers have announced today that they have reduced their admission prices for the Carling Cup First Round home tie against Grimsby Town at Prenton Park on Tuesday 11th August - kick-off 7.45pm.

The offer gives fans a chance to see John Barnes' first competitive home game in charge for much less than the normal cost of a home League Game in a bid to boost the attendance for the game.

Adults will be admitted to the game for just £10.00 with Seniors (60+) and Young Persons (17-22) £5.00 and Juniors only £3.00.

Speaking tothe Tranmere Rovers Official Website, Manager John Barnes said:

"This is our first home match of the new season and it would be great to get a big crowd."

"We want to go as far as we can in all the cup competitions, starting with this important match against Grimsby Town."

Adults, Juniors and Seniors can pay cash on the turnstiles but Seniors will need to provide photographic proof of age.  Young Persons requiring proof of age need to buy tickets from the Club Shop or Ticket Office prior to the match.

Tranmere Suite, Vice Presidents' Suite and Dixie Dean Suite season ticket holders will be admitted free of charge.

Suite prices, which include free programmes and refreshments, have also been reduced for the match to:

Dixie Dean Suite: Adults £20, Juniors £10 (includes hot and cold buffet).

Vice Presidents' Suite: Adults £16, Juniors £8 (includes half time snack).

Tranmere Suite: Adults £13, Juniors £6.50

Ticket Office and Club Shop opening hours are:

Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 5.00pm.

Whichever Club it was I'm pretty sure it was a loan deal but I don't know for sure!
